Required Qualifications
* Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
* Kitchen experience is preferable, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with meal preparation - includes tasks like washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
* Preparing meals for residents with specific needs - may involve creating meals for individuals with dietary restrictions, allergies, or swallowing difficulties.
* Monitoring stock levels - keeping track of food and supplies, ensuring the kitchen is well-stocked.
* Following instructions from the Head Chef - includes preparing specific dishes and following recipes as directed.
* Maintaining hygiene and cleanliness - ensure the kitchen, including food preparation areas, is clean and sanitary at all times.
* Assisting with cleaning and sanitation - includes washing dishes, cleaning equipment, and maintaining general kitchen tidiness.
* Disposing of waste - ensure proper disposal of food waste and other trash.
* Organizing storage areas - help maintain an organized and efficient kitchen.
* Serving meals to residents - help with plating and serving meals, ensuring residents receive their meals in a timely and respectful manner.
* Liaising with care staff and residents - involves communicating politely and professionally with residents and other staff members.
* Restocking dining areas - ensuring dining areas are clean and well-stocked with necessary items.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations - includes following food safety guidelines and reporting any potential hazards.
