Electrical Maintenance Engineer/ Bury St Edmunds / Salary £55,000Please note:Applicants must be local residents to be considered for this role.
Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our clients maintenance team. This position suits an engineer experienced in electrical work within heavy industrial environments.
Shift:
Full-time, Panama shift (6am6pm, days & nights)
Salary:
Up toSalary £55,000+ 5% performance bonus after 6 months

Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical production equipment
* Work with motors, inverters, wiring, PLCs, sensors, control panels, and industrial automation systems
* Assist with new equipment installation and commissioning
* Keep accurate maintenance and electrical records
* Support continuous improvement projects
* Ensure all work is carried out following Health & Safety standards; flexibility for on-call duties is required
Requirements:
* Qualified in Electrical or Industrial Engineering
* Proven experience in heavy industrial electrical maintenance
* Competence with:
o PLCs
o Inverters/drives
o Motors & wiring
o Electrical control systems
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety protocols including Lock Out/Tag Out, Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, ATEX/DSEAR
