A welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in West Hull is seeking a Level 4 (or above) HLTA to join their team full-time from September 2025. This is a fixed-term opportunity for the full academic year, ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic settings and want to make a genuine impact.
About the Role:
As HLTA, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity and consistency across classrooms. You will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons and lead whole-class activities in the absence of the class teacher.
Manage classroom behaviour confidently and effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
Support teaching and learning across various year groups when not covering whole classes.
Collaborate closely with class teachers and senior leaders to ensure learning objectives are met.
Support the progress and wellbeing of all pupils, adapting flexibly to different age groups and learning needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
HLTA Status (Level 4 or above), or be a qualified ECT seeking additional experience before a full teaching role.
Experience leading groups or covering whole classes in a primary school setting.
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, confident presence in the classroom.
A proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to education.
The ability to work effectively across different key stages, supporting children of varying needs and abilities.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
