Salary
: £50,000 - £55,000, plus performance-related
pay package linked to the overall KPI performance will
be introduced within 6 months of commencement.

What You'll Be Doing
· Exceeding the requirements of our demanding corporate and SME customers
· Ensuring full compliance with all company health and safety procedures
· Overseeing the management, warehouse, and delivery teams at our Plymouth site
· Effectively co-ordinating and controlling rotas, absence, and ever-changing delivery/collection volumes
· Ensuring expected service levels are met
· Delivering increased profitability by building new business and identifying efficiencies on an ongoing basis
· Full P&L responsibility
· Overseeing staff recruitment/retention, development, training and discipline
· Maintaining clear lines of communication with the Operations Director, staff, management, and customers
· Managing internal reporting of sales and costs
· Working closely with sales and our existing customers, retention and driving new business
· Managing fleet compliance
What We're Looking For
Essential
· Extensive previous experience of the parcel/logistics industry, ideally within a corporate environment
· Exceptional management and communication skills with an ability to delegate whilst retaining control
· An ability to inspire and mentor others
· Demonstrable experience in meeting corporate customer requirements and working with Key Performance Indicators
· An entrepreneurial approach to maximising revenues and profitability
· An ability to implement and manage processes and change
· A problem-solving approach with the ability to make good decisions under pressure
· A team player with a collaborative approach
· A good working knowledge of the legal aspects of operating a logistics business
Desirable
· A good knowledge of the local area
· An existing network of contacts within the logistics and parcel industries
