The Role of the German Speaking Media Relations Executive
As German Speaking Media Relations Executive, you will manage all PR (public relations) activity for key markets in the EMEA region, with a focus on German-speaking territories. You’ll be responsible for supporting the regional PR strategy, building media relationships, and coordinating agency activity to maximise brand awareness.
Job Responsibilities
* Serve as primary day-to-day contact for PR agencies across German-speaking markets
* Collaborate with EMEA PR Manager and agencies to plan and execute press events and campaigns
* Coordinate official press responses, product reviews, and statements
* Work with internal stakeholders (Business Development, Product Marketing, Business Managers) to align messaging
* Share PR outcomes and content with regional sales teams and ensure local impact is visible
* Support both traditional and digital PR activities (print, broadcast, online media)
* Travel across EMEA ~6 times per year for short agency visits or media events
Candidate profile
* Fluent German and English (written and spoken)PR or journalistic experience, ideally from a technology, media, or agency environment
* Experience managing offline and online PR campaigns
* Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple agencies and stakeholders
* Excellent writing skills with strong attention to detail
* Confident communicator with proven relationship-building skills
* Willingness to travel internationally for short periods (1–3 days per trip)
Salary & Benefits
c28,000 – £32,000 + Bonus: Company performance-based bonus. Benefits Package Includes: 24 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), Generous pension scheme, Private medical insurance Travel reimbursement Subsidised gym and lunch benefits Life assurance and more
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00 – 17:30, Friday: 8:00 – 15:30 (early finish!)
