Position: Senior Structural Engineer (Progression to Associate)
Location: Derby
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 DOE + benefits
An established and growing structural engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team, with a clear and supported pathway to Associate level. This role offers the opportunity to take technical and project leadership responsibility while developing the commercial, managerial and client-facing skills required for progression.
The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of structural projects, contributing to design delivery, mentoring junior engineers and supporting the wider growth of the business.
Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities
1. Lead the structural design and delivery of projects across a range of sectors
2. Undertake and oversee detailed structural analysis and design using steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
3. Prepare and review calculations, drawings, reports and specifications in line with British Standards and Eurocodes.
4. Be involved within surveys/ report writing
5. Act as a project lead, coordinating with clients, architects, contractors and other consultants.
6. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Graduate and Project Engineers.
