Job Title: Health & Wellbeing AdvisorDuration : Temporary 3 monthsSalary - £26,000 (£14.70 per hour)Hours: Monday Thursday 09.00-17.00 Friday 09.00 16.00Location: Birmingham* B33We are recruiting for an experienced Health and Wellbeing Advisor with a proven track record in community engagement to support to individuals who are smokers, undertake behavioural change and practical interventions so that they can set a date for smoking cessation.*This service operates within designated community venues across East Birmingham with travel to Ward End, Firs and Bromford, Alum Rock, Tyseley, Hay Mills, Sheldon, Small Heath and Garretts Green. You will be expensed for your petrol.Duties:To organise and prioritise your own workload according to the needs of the service and work unsupervised in a busy team.Respond effectively to referrals within set timescales and action referrals work with individuals to identify the most appropriate tobacco dependency treatment pathway.Support individuals to make informed choices about their health and wellbeing and support them in initiating and sustaining appropriate behavioural changes to improve their health.Arrange up to 5 contact meetings with individuals to support them in their journey to their quit date. These meetings can be face to face/telephone/Teams, to meet the needs of the individualTo forge strong working relationships with local pharmacies and develop a referral processRefer individuals to a local pharmacy or GP to gain treatment and make additional contact with them six weeks later for updatesTo complete required paperwork and update CRM with informationTo develop good relationships with delivery partners, agencies and services for the benefit of the project and its participantsKey Skills/Experience Required:Happy with regular travel within BirminghamHold a NCST practitioner qualification desirableExcellent written and verbal communications skills, hands on problem solvingTake ownership of all administrative aspects of the role.Maintain strict confidentiality in relation to work undertaken and ensure all confidentiality materials are stored according to Data Protection and Data Security Policies.Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with various stakeholdersBe adept in employing the correct procedures for dealing with any safeguarding incidents or concerns in line with Safeguarding policies.For more information or to apply please send your CV.Morgan Parkes Recruitment Ltd operate in the UK and can only process applications from candidates who are currently eligible to live and work in the UK.
