Position Summary
As a Senior Engineering Technician – Capital Project, you will provide hands‑on engineering and technical leadership to support the design, installation, commissioning, and qualification of new aseptic manufacturing equipment and facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring systems are delivered to meet business, regulatory, and GMP requirements and are ready for operational handover.
Responsibilities
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
1. Support the delivery of a new aseptic facility, working closely with project engineering, quality, and external vendors through all project lifecycle stages (design, FAT, SAT, commissioning, qualification, and handover).
2. Provide technical oversight and hands‑on support during equipment installation, integration, and start‑up within classified environments.
3. Act as a key engineering representative on the project team, ensuring maintainability, operability, and compliance are embedded into equipment and systems design.
4. Lead and coordinate engineering technician activities aligned to project milestones, including planning, prioritisation, and communication of tasks.
5. Act as first point of escalation for technical issues arising during installation and commissioning activities.
6. Support development and execution of commissioning and qualification documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ), ensuring compliance with GMP, EHS, and quality standards.
7. Drive data accuracy and system readiness (e.g. SAP/MERPS setup, asset structures, maintenance plans) ahead of operational go‑live.
8. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Quality, Validation, Operations, and Project teams to support successful facility start‑up and transition to routine manufacturing.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement and lessons learned capture throughout the project lifecycle to support future capital investments.

Basic Qualification
We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:
10. Minimum of an HNC level qualification in an Engineering discipline
11. An industry recognised Engineering apprenticeship
12. Significant post‑apprenticeship industry experience
13. Demonstrable experience working within regulated (GxP) environments
14. Experience working in engineering delivery, installation, or commissioning activities
15. Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams within complex organisations
Preferred Qualification
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
16. Experience working in aseptic or classified environments (e.g. ISO 5 / ISO 7)
17. Experience supporting capital projects, commissioning, or qualification activities
18. Demonstrable leadership and team coordination experience
19. Experience acting as a subject matter expert in engineering systems
20. Hands‑on experience in engineering project delivery or project management environments
