Responsible for the maintenance of all Airborne Forces Equipment, including the Equipment Schedules (CES), for the units training and operational fleet. The running of the MAB2 Parachute Rigging facility, including but not limited to: 1. The management and oversight of the Parachute facility J4 Stores including conducting issues and receipts and daily running of the Rigging facility. 2. Inspection and Maintenance of all MAB2 main parachutes, reserve parachutes and containers in accordance with Military and Civilian Parachute procedures. 3. Implement a Parachute maintenance schedule utilising SPARKS to ensure appropriate number of parachutes are available for MAB parachute exercises. 4. Maintain hard and electronic spreadsheets (SPARKS) of Parachute equipment and its locations to include: • Main parachute make and size • Main parachute serial number and date of manufacturer (DOM) • Main parachute maximum allowed All Up Mass (AUM) • Container make and size • Container serial number and DOM • Reserve parachute make and size • Reserve parachute serial number and date of manufacturer (DOM) • Reserve parachute maximum allowed AUM • AAD type and serial number • AAD DOM • AAD next service date 5. Repair Parachutes and Parachute ancillaries in line with the Design Organisations regulations and maintain a close working relationship with the Design Organisation technical department in support of the Air Cell. 6. Oversee and/or deliver Parachute packing training both Military and Civilian to MAB soldiers. 7. Support to Air Cell (Air WO & Air Rep) during parachute training both in the UK and abroad. 8. If not already held, will be required to work towards British Skydiving Advanced Rigger and FAA Master rigger. 9. Mentor and train future Parachute riggers including the Parachute Storeman. 10. Fulfil the roles of Health and safety and fire custodian for the MAB rigging facility. 11. Carry out miscellaneous tasks as directed by their line management commensurate with rank and task. 12. Manage and investigate all AIR CELL Defence Air Safety Occurrence Reports (DASOR) in partnership with the AIR CELL and MAB HQ SO2 J7 Air.
