We are looking for a dynamic, visionary finance leader who will:

2. Lead with Impact – Promote a culture where initiative thrives, responsibility is embraced, and open communication is the norm.

3. Champion Excellence – Support our teams in delivering continuous service improvement and innovative, patient-focused care models.

4. Be the Face of Financial Confidence – Represent the Trust with professionalism, transparency, and a strong public profile.

5. Build a Finance Culture That Serves – Lead with inclusion, accountability, and customer-focused service at the heart of everything we do

Why This Role Matters:

Your leadership will directly influence our ability to deliver world-class care — not just today, but for years to come. You’ll work across the sector to shape strategies that keep the Trust financially resilient, ensuring every pound spent delivers maximum benefit for the communities we serve.

If you’re ready to combine strategic thinking with hands-on leadership — and you have the drive to inspire people while safeguarding the Trust’s financial future — we’d love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Your Mission in Financial Leadership:

6. Deliver a robust financial strategy and annual corporate plan, safeguarding our long-term sustainability.

7. Ensure rigorous adherence to Standing Financial Instructions and industry best practices.

8. Shape budgets that are realistic, balanced, and aligned with service goals and available resources.

9. Oversee cash flow, forecasting, and risk management to ensure stability and liquidity.

10. Modernise financial systems, procedures, and controls for maximum efficiency.

11. Keep the Board informed on financial performance, risks, and opportunities — always with clarity and candour.

12. Align financial planning with our quality strategies, ensuring resources support safe staffing, infection prevention, and patient wellbeing.
