Location: Manor House School, Horsham, West Sussex. Role: Teaching Assistant.
Responsibilities
* Work under the direct instruction of an assigned teacher to support access to learning for students and provide general classroom support.
* Share responsibility to support and promote the learning, personal development and well-being of all students; may work outside the main teaching area as required.
* Prepare the classroom and learning areas for lessons and clear up afterwards.
* Assist with the display of pupil work and monitor pupil progress, reporting concerns to the teacher as agreed.
* Undertake pupil record keeping as requested and assist with planned learning activities.
* Take on tasks related to day-to-day administration and organisation of the school and specific areas of work to be reviewed annually.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* GCSE C in Maths and English (or equivalent).
* Willingness to undertake training.
* Good literacy and numeracy.
* Understanding/knowledge of Safeguarding.
* Understanding/knowledge of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Benefits & Conditions
* Salary: Up to £22,300 - £25,029 per annum; 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday; Permanent, Term Time only.
* 4DWW: After 3 months in post, you may qualify to work 4 days but be paid for 5 days (subject to staffing requirements).
