Mechanical Fitter
Location: Gateshead

Salary:£30,000 - £33,000
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Fitter to join our clients team in Gateshead. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background and a passion for precision engineering. You will be involved in assembling a wide range of mechanical components and systems, supporting both production and service teams.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
1. Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings and schematics.
2. Assemble small and large sub-assemblies with precision and care.
3. Build complete products from kits of parts, ensuring quality and functionality.
4. Provide technical support to service teams.
5. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with Health & Safety standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Time-served Mechanical Fitter.
* Strong technical ability and mechanical aptitude.
* Proven experience working with engineering drawings and mechanical builds.
* Willingness and ability to travel internationally when required.
* Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Team player with a proactive and flexible approach.
