This is a senior technical management and leadership role. We are looking for an experienced technical leader with deep product and market understanding, strong governance capability, and a proven track record of managing teams in a fast-paced commercial environment. This is an office-based full-time role – Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Governance

Act as the internal authority on technical suitability, safety, quality, and compliance, with final technical sign-off on products and authority to approve or reject products on technical grounds. Escalate serious, high-risk, or business-critical technical issues to the IT & Technical Director.
Product Quality, Compliance & Risk

Maintain oversight of testing, certification, and compliance activities, working with internal teams and external partners as required. Monitor changes in the UK compliance environment and ensure the business remains compliant. Take ownership of technical and compliance risk, including investigation, corrective action, and resolution of significant issues.
Product Evaluation & Range Support
Work closely with the product buying team to support the introduction of new products. Oversee technical evaluation to ensure products are fit for purpose, compliant, and aligned with customer expectations, influencing product selection and ranging decisions through strong technical and customer insight. Balance speed to market with technical integrity, quality, and compliance.
Customer & Sales Technical Support
Oversee the technical customer and sales support function, ensuring customers and internal teams receive accurate, timely, and practical technical advice that reflects best practice. Support complex or high-value customer projects directly where appropriate, or by delegating within the team. Contribute to, review and sign off technical copy published by the company e.g. blogs or whitepapers.
Bespoke Project Specification & Production Flow

Ensure specifications are accurate, complete, and suitable for downstream use, maintaining a smooth and efficient flow from customer specification through to in-house assembly and production. Work closely with production team to ensure technical intent is clearly understood and delivered, identifying opportunities to improve handover and execution.
Supplier & Partner Liaison
Liaise with suppliers on technical and quality matters and manage relationships with external technical partners who provide additional expertise or resource. Ensure all external parties operate to the company's technical standards and expectations.
People & Resource Management
Directly line manage the quality team and the technical customer and sales support team. Allocate resources effectively to meet demanding business schedules and develop high-performing teams with a strong culture of technical excellence, accountability, and collaboration.
