Sous Chef – Daytime Hours with Early Friday Finish in Uxbridge
Looking for a Sous Chef role that gives you evenings and weekends free? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly workplace in Uxbridge with a 3pm finish every day – and midday on Fridays.

• £19.50 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
• Monday to Friday, 7am – 3pm (Fridays finish at approx. 12pm)
• Daytime shifts only – no evenings or weekends
• Potential to go temp-to-perm for the right person
What you’ll be doing:
As Sous Chef, you’ll be working within a staff restaurant environment, catering for 40–45 covers daily. You’ll prepare breakfast and lunch service, including a salad bar, hot main and vegetarian options, plus baguettes made to order. You’ll be working mostly on your own with the support of a part-time Catering Assistant.
Key responsibilities:
• Preparing breakfast and lunch for staff service
• Maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
• Managing the kitchen during service, including food safety and hygiene
• Collaborating with the Catering Assistant to keep operations running smoothly
What we’re looking for:
• Previous experience as a Chef in a similar environment
• Comfortable working independently in the kitchen
• Ability to manage time effectively and deliver great food for a smaller service
• Available from 1st September until the end of December, with the option to stay on permanently
