Artemis Human Capital has partnered with a dynamic and growing business with multiple offices to appoint a talented Financial Controller to join their team. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the accounting function of the Belfast office.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and mentor a small team of accounts staff
2. Prepare quarterly management accounts and year-end accounts
3. Lead the implementation of a new ERP system to enhance accounting processes
4. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy
5. Manage VAT, PAYE, and CIS returns for the UK and Republic of Ireland
6. Oversee Intrastat and Customs returns
7. Develop and manage annual budgets to support strategic planning
8. Conduct cash forecasting and manage banking facilities
9. Optimize working capital management to support business growth
10. Work closely with the MD
Experience:
1. Ability to manage and lead a small team
2. Experience with ERP systems and financial software
3. Proficiency in managing VAT, PAYE, CIS, Intrastat, and Customs returns
4. Strong analytical skills with experience in budget preparation and cash forecasting
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management
