Clinical Operations Manager / Specialist MSK Physiotherapist
Reporting to: Clinical Director
Role Type: Part‑time and full‑time, Permanent (30–40 hours per week; salary based on 37.5 hours pro rata)
Locations: Varied and dependent on balance between home location and clinic need. Between sites – Hackney Central (E8), Old Street/Shoreditch (N1), Kentish Town (NW5), Elephant & Castle (SE1), Fulham (SW6)
The Opportunity
This is not a standard clinical role. As Clinical Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Clinical Director and carry protected non‑clinical responsibilities focused on business growth, team development, and operational excellence. Your mandate is to help establish LDN PHYSIO as the undisputed leader in return‑to‑sports physiotherapy across London.
Key Responsibilities (Clinical & Operational)
Clinical (Specialist MSK Physiotherapist):
* Deliver high‑quality MSK and sports physiotherapy to elite and aspiring, recreational athletes, including post‑operative rehabilitation and complex MSK cases.
* Manage a caseload autonomously, providing excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, and differential diagnosis.
* Utilise IRMeR and appropriate diagnostics, confidently explaining implications to patients.
* Adapt consultations to online platforms where required.
Operational (Protected Non‑Clinical Duties):
* Strategic Growth: Work alongside the Clinical Director to drive business expansion across London clinics, ensuring LDN PHYSIO becomes the leading return‑to‑sports provider.
* Team Excellence: Lead by example to promote a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
* Clinic Co‑Management: Oversee one or more clinic locations, including operational workflows, patient experience, and local marketing initiatives.
* Non‑Clinical Development: Contribute to business‑wide projects (e.g., RED‑S MDT clinic development, Running Clinic, Body MOTs) and help scale these services.
* Performance Monitoring: Use formal/informal supervision structures to track team goals, aspirations, and clinical outcomes.

* Minimum 5 years post‑graduate MSK experience in NHS or equivalent setting
* Experience with GP and consultant referrals and post‑surgical rehabilitation from immediate post‑op towards return to sport
* Proven ability in autonomous patient management across MSK, orthopaedic, and general health conditions
* Excellent, empathetic, and adaptable communication skills
* Familiarity with IRMeR and diagnostic decision‑making
Desirable (for this operational role)
* Desire and aptitude for non‑clinical leadership – growth, team management, and operational strategy
* Project management success and evidence of
* Interest in co‑managing a clinic location as LDN PHYSIO expands
* Experience mentoring or supervising senior staff and managing their career objectives
Qualifications & Pre‑Employment Requirements
* BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy
* HCPC registration. Current CSP member (incl. PLI insurance) – or contact us if using another insurer
* Right to work in the UK as a practising Physiotherapist
* Enhanced DBS check (case‑by‑case discussion, no automatic discrimination)
* Physically fit to safely carry out duties (adaptations made as needed; confidential discussions welcomed)
