Do you want to drive forward the circular economy and influence future waste legislation? We’re looking for a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy.
You’ll collaborate with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and industry to deliver significant legislative reforms. You need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of translating policy into action.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation in workstreams such as Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme.
2. Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry.
3. Driving reforms in waste management to change how waste is managed in England, including shaping digital systems for waste management and policy development.
Our dispersed team works with various technical and project teams nationwide, utilizing smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel, though some travel and overnight stays may be necessary.
The Team
You will join our Producer Responsibility Team, which leads waste regulation reforms to help conserve resources by minimizing waste. Experience and Skills Required

We offer development opportunities and appropriate training. The role is flexible/hybrid with an EA Office base location. Some travel may be required.
