Work towards your Care Certificate whilst receiving weekly pay, paid annual leave and all the other great benefits NHS Professionals offers our bank members. Saturdays/Nights:£17.Sunday/Bank Hols:£22.During our programme you will work through the 15 Standards of the Care Certificate, learning how to meet the daily living needs of your patients as well as being a part of the NHS healthcare team. This includes supporting Nurses and other healthcare practitioners in providing patient care, from hygiene to personal and physical comfort.
Clinical tasks will be determined by the nature of your work and local policy e.g. monitoring the effects of medication.
Care of wounds
You must be over the age of 18 before the planned classroom training week.
You work at least 30 hours a week across earlies, late's and nights during the programme.
You have a passion for care and can demonstrate the six enduring values that underpin compassion in practice.
We will consider applicants without any healthcare experience as well as those with at least 3 months healthcare experience within the last 2 years.

Attendance of FREE classroom training Planned for4th - 6th August 2025
As your first step in healthcare with the NHS, this could provide you with the opportunity to progress your career by accessing further training outside of the programme. In time, you could become a Senior Healthcare Assistant. After that, you could then apply to train as an Assistant Practitioner or Nursing Associate, enabling further career avenues such as a Nurse, Podiatrist or Midwife.
