Key Responsibilities
1. Development of machining programs for parts modeled on CAD systems, optimizing set-up times and run times for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
2. Setting machines and materials to run programs as specified.
3. Operating machines (VMC, Mill turn, and Manual machines) to manufacture components.
4. Adjusting machine setups and programs as necessary.
5. Validating programs.
6. Maintaining records of programming, setup, and run times for ERP system integration.
7. Liaising with Design for existing parts improvement and new parts development.
8. Design for manufacture and product cost improvement programs.
9. Monitoring scrap levels and implementing reduction programs if needed.
10. Completing mandatory Amazon Learn courses.
11. Adhering to health and safety requirements.
Education, Qualifications & Experience
* HNC or equivalent qualification (evidence such as certificates).
* Minimum of 3 years experience programming using Fanuc control system (30 series).
* Desirable: Experience with offline programming, CAD/CAM development, apprenticeship background, programming and operating a 3-axis Vertical Machining Centre, 4th & 5th axis experience, Feature CAM or similar, mill turn programming and operation with X, Z & C axes, 4th axis, sub-spindle, and bar feeder experience.
Hours of Work & Benefits
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
* Overtime at x1.5.

* Salary/Rate: £34,000 - £41,000 per annum.
