We are looking for an ambitious Audit Manager with a passion for the not-for-profit sector to join our award-winning team. You will be working with a variety of charities, social housing providers and education providers, from start‑ups to well‑established, prestigious clients within the sector.
Responsibilities
* Co‑ordinate the audit team and manage projects and multiple assignments in a timely and effective manner.
* Manage a portfolio of external audit clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
* Ensure audit teams complete planned work within the agreed budget and timescales from planning through to completion.
* Act as the principal contact for your clients, delivering proactive service throughout the year.
* Meet tight deadlines by time‑planning work and client appointments.
* Prepare and present reports to senior management and Audit Committees/Boards.
* Direct, coach and mentor audit teams to assist in engagement delivery.
* Engage in business development activities and maintain your own network.
* Participate in proposals, presentations for new work, and potential wider assurance services to clients.
* Participate in team and firm‑wide activities and training opportunities.
Technical Skills, Experience & Knowledge
* Qualified ACA, ICAS, ACCA or equivalent.
* Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
* Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
* Knowledge and experience of audits in the non‑profit sector.
* Strong people‑management skills, enabling support, coaching and mentoring of junior colleagues.
