The Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Computer Science Teacher to join a Birmingham secondary school from March 2026 on a long-term supply basis. You will teach Computer Science across KS3, KS4 and KS5, delivering engaging lessons in programming, algorithms, data representation, computer systems and cyber security.
This role includes full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking and assessment. A strong focus on GCSE and A-Level outcomes is essential, with the ability to stretch high-attaining students at KS5 while supporting progress across mixed-ability groups at KS3 and KS4.
The Candidate
You must hold QTS and have experience teaching Computer Science at secondary level, ideally up to KS5. Strong subject knowledge in programming languages such as Python is highly desirable, alongside the ability to make complex technical concepts accessible and engaging. Confident classroom management and a data-driven approach to raising attainment are key.
