Axon Moore is delighted to partner with a large, successful distribution business experiencing significant growth and continued investment in its national Health & Safety function. Due to internal promotions and expanding operational demands, we are supporting the recruitment of Health & Safety Advisors to join their established team.

The Role
Reporting to the Health & Safety Manager, you will play a key role in supporting sites and operational teams across the region. This is a hands‑on, varied position where you’ll be out on sites, building relationships, advising teams, and helping to drive a positive safety culture.
A company car is provided, and you should be comfortable with regular travel and overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and communication of the company Health & Safety Policy
* Provide day‑to‑day H&S advice to branch and operational teams
* Assist with delivering H&S training and maintaining accurate training records
* Review CAPEX proposals to identify potential H&S risks
* Monitor and support the completion of Risk Assessments, ensuring actions are followed up
* Lead independent project work to develop best‑practice H&S processes
* Collect and report key H&S risk indicators
* Conduct site visits and ad‑hoc assessments, identifying hazards and recommending controls
* Carry out Fire Safety Risk Assessments and inspections
* Contribute to policy reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
* Support the central management of the Operator Licence and associated documentation
* Assist with Operator Licence visits and coordination
Skills & Experience
* Essential:
o Full, clean UK driving licence
o Willingness to travel, including overnight stays
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o High attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Desirable:
o NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
o Experience in a Health & Safety role, ideally within logistics, distribution, or industrial environments
o Good understanding of H&S legislation and risk assessment processes
