LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Engineering Lead with proven industry experience to join our global engineering team. This role will be a key player in determining and refining on-going DevOps practices, agile support and deployment processes, as we continue to develop and improve the reliability of our public cloud based services. The role also requires on-call rotation for off-peak hours to maintain 24/7, 365 system availability.
About Team
Our teams are collaborative and forward-thinking; the successful candidate will help shape the operations and support for critical applications, customers and projects, working closely with Development, QA, IT Operations and Customer Operations teams. You will be a collaborative team player, with the ability to influence, communicate and solve problems effectively, whilst handling a fast-paced working environment.
Responsibilities
 * Lead SRE teams to build / maintain "Infrastructure as Code", software services (PaaS and SaaS), security policies and continuous integration / deployment processes
 * Remove technical debt, security hardening and continued optimisation of our cloud based environments
 * Maintain critical production services with a focus on uptime and reliability for tier 1 / mission critical 24/7 services
 * Collaborate with Development, QA, IT Operations, Customer Operations and Project Management teams
 * Lead FinOps processes for ongoing cost optimisation
Essential Skills and Attributes
 * People 40% - Leading SRE teams to ensure:
 o Rotating staff within the teams across products / platforms to ensure broad experience
 o Sharing and collaboration across other SRE Managers/Leads/Cloud Centre of Excellence to adopt best practices
 o Mentoring and development of direct reports, including staying up to date with a fast paced sector
 o Maintenance of systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
 o Setting appropriate goals, ongoing objective setting and general line management of direct reports
 * Financial 5% - Strong business acumen and budgeting skills
 o Maintain and forecast cloud OPEX spend
 o Ensure cloud spend is reasonable and optimised via FinOps processes
 * Customer 20%
 o Ultimate accountability across a Group Of Products for uptime and resiliency
 o Ensure 24/7 technical support and Service Level Agreements for customers are met
 * Technical 30%
 o Examine complex releases to ensure system resilience
 o Drive automation to aid productivity and maximise Infrastructure as Code
 o Understand defensive, corrective, detective controls and general application troubleshooting
 o Deliver resilient application stacks via "Infrastructure as Code" and DevOps practices
 o Monitor and provide ongoing support for critical, high revenue business applications
 o Diagnose and resolve complex system and application issues
 o Experience hosting critical apps in public cloud providers (AWS and/or Azure) with services such as EC2, ECS, AKS, etc.
 o Experience with containerised workloads (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
 * Other 5%
 o Manage Customer Reliability Engineering activities driving application monitoring, metrics, incident reviews and long-term actions
 o Support security/InfoSec activities and tooling (Qualys, Wiz, Trufflehog, GitHub Advanced Security, etc.)
Qualifications
 * 10+ years experience in a technical, cyber security related position
 * 2+ years of management experience (including people management)
 * BSc in Engineering/Computer Science/IT Security or relevant experience
 * Desirable - AWS / Azure Certifications
