Domestic Assistant – Orford House, Coulsdon
Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not‑for‑profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. We support older people for over 120 years, offering residential and day care services and grants for those in financial difficulty. Our Coulsdon site, Orford House, provides residential care in a Georgian style setting.
Job Description
You will help keep our care home clean and maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Your responsibilities include general domestic duties such as vacuuming, polishing tables and office surfaces, wiping armchairs and dining chairs, emptying bins, ensuring the laundry service runs smoothly, and assisting with serving meals and refreshments.
Qualifications & Requirements
 * No prior experience is needed; we provide full training.
 * A good standard of English and numeracy skills.
 * Comfortable using digital technology for online training.
 * Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety is beneficial but not essential.
 * Self‑motivation, resilience, team‑player attitude, and a willingness to go the extra mile.
Working Pattern
Employment type: Permanent – Part Time
Working pattern: Days, Weekends
Hours: 1 x 12 hours / 1 x 6 hours (as per schedule)
