We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Chef, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative meal options
* Maintain an organised and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring all equipment is clean and in good working order
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
* Assist with serving meals during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery to guests
Requirements
* Proven experience in a similar culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are an advantage
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards
* Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively within the kitchen team
* A passion for cooking and a desire to continually improve culinary skills
