Join a renowned premium womenswear brand based in London, where craftsmanship, quality, and fit are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a Senior Garment Technologist to take a leading role in ensuring our collections meet the highest standards of fit, construction, and performance.
This is a 12-month fixed-term contract working with amazing product and with a collaborative and passionate team.
About the Role
As Senior Garment Technologist, you'll be instrumental in guiding our product from initial development through to bulk production. You'll work closely with design, buying, and suppliers to ensure every piece not only looks beautiful but functions flawlessly for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead fit sessions from prototype to production, ensuring consistency and excellence in fit and construction.
· Create detailed technical comments and diagrams for suppliers to support accurate execution.
· Collaborate with design and buying teams to balance creative vision with manufacturing feasibility.
· Oversee product quality, wash care, testing, and resolve technical challenges.
· Manage seasonal block updates and grading consistency across collections.
· Analyse customer returns and implement strategies to improve product performance.
· Mentor and support junior technologists, fostering growth and development.
· Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, including conducting audits to uphold brand standards.
Who You Are (the shopping list of must have experience)
· A well-versed Womenswear Garment Technologist with recent experience working on knitwear
· Able to conduct your own fit meetings and give fit comments to relay to factories and suppliers
· A first-class communicator (written and verbal) who can work with both all inhouse teams and outside suppliers.
· Calm and organised under pressure, with strong time management skills.
· Technically skilled with a sharp commercial mindset.
· Resilient and solutions-focused, with the confidence to drive ideas forward.
· Collaborative and proactive, with experience managing and inspiring junior team members.
· London based and eligible to work in the UK
