How will you add value to the OpenPayd journey?
1. Assist the Compliance Director in establishing and maintaining effective onboarding and AML systems and controls;
2. Act as the deputy to the Compliance Director, overseeing the compliance function as needed;
3. Lead the Compliance Onboarding Team;
4. Oversee and review the onboarding process, including automation and procedures, suggesting improvements;
5. Develop and manage AML policies and procedures in line with latest regulations;
6. Ensure proper implementation of AML/CFT policies through internal processes;
7. Coordinate with compliance operations teams and act as the first point of contact;
8. Approve new applications and compliance requests, supporting relevant teams;
9. Assess new business models against our Customer Acceptance Policy and Risk Appetite;
10. Supervise customer due diligence tasks;
11. Collaborate with Group Compliance, Sales, Legal, and Operations to ensure alignment;
12. Identify knowledge gaps and deliver training and support;
13. Review compliance and operational processes for weaknesses and risks;
14. Communicate compliance responsibilities across the company;
15. Provide advice on AML/CFT matters;
16. Prepare management reports for senior leadership;
17. Perform ad-hoc AML projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
* 5+ years in a leadership compliance role with deep understanding of UK and EU AML regulations;
* 10-15 years of compliance experience, preferably in financial institutions;
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills;
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
* Ability to build strong internal relationships;
* Excellent regulatory knowledge;
* ICA / Cams qualification in AML/Financial Crime (preferred);
* Knowledge of KYC and KYB regulatory requirements;
* Bachelor’s degree in law, finance, business, or related field.
