Job Summary
We're looking for a restaurant manager with an obsessive passion for service, food and drink. We expect the ideal candidate to operate as a seamless extension of the kitchen team, with an obsession for our food and a deep interest in how we prepare and source our menu. This is a very hands on role with clear guidance available from our owner and our head chef/GM but, the ideal candidate will also have the opportunity to bring a huge amount of creativity to the table - we want someone who feels the same passion for service and drink as a head chef would feel about cooking Although a certain level of administrative tasks are required from this position, the main focus of the job is ultimately to ensure that each and every guest that walks through our doors is given a deeply memorable experience
Responsibilities
* Setting an extremely high standard for cleanliness, service and organisation whilst fostering a positive work environment that brings the team together and leads to a cohesive service culture.
* Managing our bookings, restaurant correspondence, and the general administrative tasks involved in the day to day running of a restaurant.
* Leading the creative development of our drinks programme whilst managing inventory levels and business targets.
* Work with the owner and head chef/GM to ensure that the essence of our concept and ethos is communicated to our guests through every aspect of their experience.
* Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional manner, ensuring resolution to maintain guest satisfaction
* Masterful upselling and driving sales in line with the flow of the kitchen.
Experience
* Proven experience in a restaurant management role or similar supervisory position in a fine dining restaurant.
* Strong knowledge and background of food preparation, cooking, and culinary practices.
* Demonstrated experience in team management and leadership within a hospitality setting.
* Wine/whiskey/mixology experience.
* Michelin experience preferred.
Restaurant Background
Launched in January 2025, we are a fairly young Michelin Guide recommended farm to table restaurant, committed to working exclusively with Scottish ingredients. We have our own organic farm in Angus where we source a lot of our ingredients and we have steady plans to keep increasing the amount of ingredients we grow/raise/shoot ourselves. Our owner and our head chef/GM have both worked in some of the world's most renowned one, two and three Michelin star environments and we apply this experience to the mission of seeing just how far Scottish ingredients can be pushed. We are definitely a 'fine dining' restaurant but we also have a slightly punky edge and a decidedly a-la-carte menu format, aimed at being accessible and unpretentious. We'd love to be in contention for a Michelin Star but at the same time, we have a 'we are who we are' attitude. Our goal is to shine a new light on Scottish ingredients and make a statement about what is possible with the terroir of our beautiful country
