Following the recent retirement of our much loved FLO, we are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Family Liaison Officer (FLO) to join our school community.
About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting children and families to thrive? Then this might be the role for you.
As our FLO, you will play a vital role in strengthening relationships between school, families, and the wider community. You will work closely with pupils, parents/carers, and staff to support wellbeing, attendance, and engagement in learning.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as a key point of contact for families, offering guidance and support
2. Work with staff to identify and support pupils facing barriers to learning
3. Promote positive attendance and punctuality
4. Liaise with external agencies and services where needed
5. Organise workshops, meetings, and family support initiatives
6. Provide safeguarding support in line with school policies

7. Experience working with children and families (education, social care, or similar)
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
9. A caring, approachable, and non-judgemental attitude
10. Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality
11. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

We are looking for someone who can engage with parents/carers and families to provide early intervention, support and guidance to increase engagement with the school and improve learning outcomes for pupils.
Experience of working as a Family Liaison Officer or in a comparable role is highly desirable.
