We have been exclusively engaged by a leading multijurisdictional organisation to appoint a Commercial Director specialising in AIFM solutions. The successful candidate will join a newly formed international sales team and help shape the future direction of a rapidly scaling global business.
This senior commercial position will suit someone with a strong background in the AIFM sector who is ready to take full ownership of revenue generation, strategic client development, and market expansion across a multi‑jurisdictional remit.
The Role
* Build, manage, and convert a high‑quality pipeline of new business opportunities
* Drive cross-sell and upsell initiatives within an existing client portfolio
* Develop and maintain a strong network of industry contacts and partners to generate consistent opportunities
* Lead complex, multi‑jurisdictional sales proposals, coordinating internal specialists to deliver cohesive solutions
* Use market insights and competitor knowledge to identify, shape and progress commercial opportunities
* Support cross‑border client expansion across relevant service lines
* Contribute to high‑value strategic sales opportunities from origination through to close
* Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM data while meeting commercial targets
* Promote AIFM solutions across key European jurisdictions, supporting growth across both liquid and illiquid fund structures
* Champion fund‑like structures, including segregated managed accounts, as part of the broader offering
* Educate legal advisers and key intermediaries on the value and benefits of third‑party AIFM services
* Manage relationships with significant AIFM clients, ensuring high service standards and strong engagement
The Successful Candidate
* At least 7 years’ experience in financial services, ideally with exposure to private markets
* Strong track record of delivering sustained sales growth in senior commercial roles
* Deep understanding of the AIFM market and established industry network
* Experience managing complex, solution‑led, multi‑jurisdictional sales processes
* Self‑motivated, commercially driven, and able to operate autonomously
* Excellent communication, relationship‑building and presentation skills
* Comfortable attending industry events and travelling regularly as required
