Ceto Talent is recruiting a Senior Finance Business Partner for a major organisation, offering the opportunity to work as an integral member of the senior leadership team, providing strategic financial guidance and driving business performance.
What We're Looking For
The ideal Senior Finance Business Partner will bring:
* Extensive Finance Business Partner experience in a complex organisational environment
* Strong analytical skills with proven ability to provide insights and challenge senior stakeholders
* Significant experience in budgeting and forecasting within complex financial landscapes
* Proven track record of building relationships, coaching and influencing senior budget holders
* Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant accounting body (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW) or equivalent experience
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills at all levels
* Demonstrable record of budget management, governance and ability to interpret commercial and financial landscapes
* Substantial experience managing ambiguity in a financial environment with strong evaluation and decision-making skills
* Excellent technical financial and accounting knowledge in a complex and commercial environment
* Degree in a relevant discipline (accounting, finance, business management) or equivalent demonstrable experience
* Must be based in Glasgow or Edinburgh
About the Role
This Senior Finance Business Partner contract requires someone who can proactively identify, plan and meet the finance needs of the business whilst positively challenging senior leaders and business activities. You'll work collaboratively with senior leadership to drive business decisions, minimise risk and deliver strong corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities
As Senior Finance Business Partner, you will:
* Consolidate, critically review and provide technical advice on periodic financial results and forecasts
* Identify and monitor risks, opportunities and efficiencies to minimise financial impact
* Provide robust professional recommendations and financial guidance on accounting guidelines and standards
* Develop, understand and influence cost and income drivers to deliver the yearly business plan
* Coach and challenge senior budget holders in understanding period results and forecasts against budgets
* Proactively challenge budget holders' plans and submissions, providing advice on cost-saving initiatives
* Drive and deliver key KPIs, highlighting significant issues and trends to aid decision-making
* Lead budget holder meetings on financial performance, providing professional financial advice
* Support investment decisions and new business activities, working collaboratively with senior leaders
