This position as Assistant Branch Manager requires one months training at the Kings Lynn site before moving to Yaxley in Peterborough, here you will be reporting directly to the Branch Manager
Key Responsibilities:
Serving customers and dealing with enquiries
Processing cash, card and online payments
Updating customer records in the companys database as required
Handling product returns and payment refund requests
Promoting products based on the companys directives
Arranging products on the shelves and on promotional displays
Unpacking and sorting new stock delivery
Managing product inventory at the store
Keeping the shop clean
End of day cashing up
Assisting the Branch Manager to profitably meet and exceed the branch sales targets
Managing the sales office, branch purchasing and stock control
Build and maintain relationships with new and existing trade and retail customers
Proficiency in using a point of sale system (POS) and inventory management software
Strong knowledge of MS Office suite
Knowledge of timber/construction materials
Ability to conduct effective sales
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work under pressure (Peak times)
Ability to work well with a team
