We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Pub Manager to support the daily operations of our vibrant pub. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a solid background in food and beverage service. Duties
* Assist in supervising daily pub operations, ensuring smooth service during shifts
* Support the management team in staff scheduling, training, and performance management
* Supervise serving staff to deliver exceptional customer service
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health & safety policies
* Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee stock rotation
* Assist in organising events or promotions to enhance customer engagement
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and bar areas
* Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally and promptly
* Support in financial transactions, including cash handling and reporting
Requirements
* Proven experience in restaurant or hospitality environments, ideally within pubs or bars
* Demonstrable supervising or team management experience
* Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff
* Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure
* Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, including serving protocols and bar operations
* Previous experience with culinary tasks such as food preparation or barista work is advantageous
* A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills
* Relevant qualifications in hospitality, culinary arts, or food safety are desirable
