A well-established precision engineering company in Barrow-in-Furness is currently seeking an experienced and detail-focused Quality Inspector with certified Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) experience to join their quality team. The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining the company's quality assurance processes, ensuring all components meet exacting standards through visual inspection and advanced NDT methods.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspection of machined components using a variety of precision measuring instruments.
Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques including Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), in line with relevant standards.
Ensure inspection records and quality documentation are accurately maintained.
Investigate and report on non-conformances and support root cause analysis.
Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to uphold consistent quality performance.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar Quality Inspector or NDT Technician role within a precision manufacturing or engineering environment.
Certification in NDT (e.g. PCN Level 2 or equivalent in MPI, DPI, or UT).
Strong understanding of engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality control procedures.
Excellent attention to detail, communication, and reporting skills.
