We are looking to hire an energetic multi-drop driver to assist us in deliveries in local areas. The driver will utilize requisitions and order sheets to load their van in a logical order for their morning round. This will be a 3AM start for loading, heading out to start the round around 5AM.
The driver will check produce for damage, and confirm correct items and quantities are selected from the evening pickers. You will perform duties in accordance with standard operating instructions, and ensure outbound deliveries are defect-free. Forklift license is desired but not essential, further training will be provided.
To ensure success in this position you will need to perform to a high level of accuracy. Top candidates will be upstanding, organized and able to perform under pressure.
Driver Responsibilities:
* Ensuring work areas & vans are kept clean, neat and well-organized.
* Keeping records of van temperatures upon deliveries.
* Accurately picking stock up from suppliers on way back to yard after delivery round.
* Reporting all short delivered items to customers and office accordingly.
* Catering to needs of customers (eg. delivery times & restrictions)
* Complying with OSHA and other safety regulations.
* Assisting in maintaining security of warehouse.
This job will be Monday to Saturday.
Working hours will be along the lines of 4am to 12 Noon, but you will be required to complete you round in full depending on the volume of work.
You must be over the age of 25 for insurance purposes.
