About the Role
Reporting to the HR Business Partner (HRBP) based in Bradford, you will join our UK & Europe HR team, supporting around 550 colleagues across the region. As an HR Assistant, you’ll provide comprehensive support across the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding and HR administration to payroll changes, helpdesk support, and employee relations administration. You will also support facilities, health & safety, and office‑related activities for the Bradford office.
Key Responsibilities
* Onboarding & Offboarding– Coordinate end‑to‑end onboarding, issue documentation, schedule inductions, complete pre‑employment checks, maintain accurate HR system data, and support offboarding processes.
* HR Administration– Maintain and update employee records in HR systems (ADP), draft HR documents, track probation periods, and support benefits administration and HR projects.
* Employee / Manager Support– Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries, log and process requests, and prepare outcome letters.
* HR Helpdesk– Manage and respond to queries via the Fresh Service ticketing system, provide timely advice or elevate to HRBP, and meet service‑level targets.
* Payroll– Process monthly payroll changes, ensure payroll data accuracy, liaise with payroll teams, and assist employees with payroll‑related questions.
* Employee Relations Support– Support HRBP’s employee relations matters, attend meetings, prepare investigation notes, and handle sensitive information confidentially.
* Compliance & Health & Safety– Ensure HR processes comply with policies, assist with HR reporting and audit preparation, support health & safety activities, manage visitor passes, and support facilities management tasks.
About You – Skills & Experience
* Experience in HR administration or a similar support role.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work discreetly with confidential information.
* Confidence in multitasking and managing deadlines.
* Payroll administration experience (advantageous but not essential).
* CIPD qualification (scope for training in role).
