Research Clinic Coordination and Development
Coordinate set up and delivery of the Mood Disorders Research Clinic with support from the Clinical Lead and Deputy Director.
Research Development: Develop research capacity and capability across all professions within primary care. Collaborate with GP practices, Primary Care Networks, Primary Care Sheffield, community pharmacies, and other NHS organizations to initiate and participate in primary care research studies.
Support and Recruitment: Assist primary care with recruitment to portfolio studies, providing advice and expertise. Support practices in confirming capability and capacity for research delivery. Support other members of the primary care RM&G service in SHSC, providing leadership and guidance.
Guidance and Leadership: Generate guidance and documentation for research setup and delivery within primary care. Lead recruitment efforts for the Mood Disorders research cohort according to the research protocol.
Performance and Compliance: Support accurate target setting and milestone planning for the Mood Disorders Research Clinic. Complete quarterly and annual KPI reporting templates, and provide performance reports to the Deputy Director and Clinical Lead.
Data Management and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure recruitment is recorded on EDGE. Obtain necessary REC/HRA and other regulatory approvals for studies. Identify potential participants for NIHR studies, assisting with informed consent and providing support to participants and carers.
Recruitment Strategy and Community Engagement: Work with the Research Development Unit to arrange referral routes and develop strategies to improve recruitment from underserved communities. Recruit PPIE representatives and coordinate quarterly meetings to incorporate their input.
Meetings and Continuous Improvement: Attend multidisciplinary Mood Disorder Clinic team meetings to support research delivery. Ensure the clinic runs smoothly and identify areas for improvement, escalating concerns as needed.
