Job Title: Domestic Supervisor Location: North Devon District Hospital Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week Pay: £12.75 per hour About the Role We are looking for a dedicated Domestic Supervisor to lead and manage a team of domestic cleaners, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role is vital in maintaining high standards of hygiene and minimising the risk of healthcare-associated infections. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise a team of domestic cleaners. Ensure compliance with National Specifications for Cleanliness. Manage rosters, allocate resources, and monitor performance. Control the use of cleaning materials and equipment. Communicate effectively with ward managers, matrons, and service users. Monitor cleanliness standards and take remedial action when necessary. Support training and development of team members. Ensure adherence to health & safety and infection control policies. What We’re Looking For Essential: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cleaning team. Previous supervisory experience. Good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work flexibly and professionally in a healthcare setting Desirable: Experience in healthcare environments. Customer service experience. Food hygiene and health & safety qualifications.
