Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective care during the anaesthetic, intraoperative, and post-anaesthetic recovery phases.
- Assist anaesthetists during all stages of anaesthesia, ensuring appropriate monitoring and patient support.
- Function effectively within the scrub role, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring the availability and integrity of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Monitor and care for patients in the recovery area, responding promptly to changes in their physiological condition.
Qualifications
- BSc (Hons) Operating Department Practice or Diploma in Operating Department Practice.
- Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Operating Department Practitioner.
- Experience working within the day case perioperative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
