Brief Description
You will establish safety arrangements, check work quality, direct and inspire your team involved in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal activities.
The Role
You will lead, organize, and motivate a high-performing team, playing a hands-on role in inspection, faulting, maintenance, and renewal. Ensuring efficiency and high standards, safety will be a priority. You will establish safety procedures, ensure compliance, and verify that assets, vehicles, plant, tools, and materials are fit for purpose. You will also compile vital reports.
Essential Criteria
* Experience in organizing and controlling safe and efficient work delivery
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques
* Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, and instructions
* Strong leadership qualities with clear direction
* Hold Safety Critical Competencies COSS, CRP, and PC
* Hold Tr04 and Tr11 Competence
Desirable Criteria
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
* Willingness to drive vehicles, including up to 7.5t, with necessary training
* Hold Safety Critical Competencies Strapping, NSCD (Ops), and Engineering Supervisor
Additional Requirements
* Minimum 5 years' experience in maintenance tasks including S&C replacement and renewal
* Hold Tr04 Track Geometry and Tr11 Track Handback Competence
* Level 1 & 2 stressing
This role involves days, nights, and weekends, is safety-critical, and subject to drug and alcohol testing and medical assessment.
