We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team for every Saturday and for holiday cover and for our speciality evenings twice a month. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and kitchen experience, with a flair for creativity and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supervising kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are met, and a team of professionals. Wages and hours to be discussed
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and service.
* Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
* Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in compliance with regulations.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
* Provide exceptional hospitality to guests through attentive service.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management.
* Comprehensive knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices.
* Excellent leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring junior staff.
* Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
