St Francis, Pewsey is a joyful, nurturing and vibrant Prep School where children are known as individuals and encouraged to flourish. We are seeking a caring, energetic and committed Assistant Head of School (Prep) to join our leadership team and guide the pastoral and academic life of Years 3–6.
This position has been created as part of a refreshed leadership structure within the Prep School, strengthening the support we offer pupils and staff across this important phase.

About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing pastoral and academic leadership for pupils in Years 3–6, ensuring they are known, supported and encouraged to flourish
* Acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) and contributing to the school’s strong safeguarding culture
* Teaching within the Prep School, modelling excellent classroom practice and supporting high‑quality teaching across the phase
* Bringing strong expertise in English and Mathematics, inspiring pupils at this key stage of their learning
* Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families, promoting a nurturing and purposeful school environment
* Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the Prep School, contributing to strategic planning and ensuring smooth, effective operations
* Working collaboratively with the leadership team to enhance the pastoral and academic experience of all pupils in Years 3–6
