TeacherActive is recruiting for a strong, experienced Teaching Assistant to work in an STF Unit within a partner school in Swansea.
Role Overview
This is a challenging but highly rewarding role. You’ll be supporting pupils with a range of Additional Learning Needs, who may display challenging behaviour, struggle with emotional regulation, or require consistent 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
Responsibilities
* Remain calm under pressure
* Think on their feet
* Use initiative and strong behaviour management strategies
* Build trusting relationships with pupils
* Support both academic and emotional development
What We’re Looking For
* Experience supporting children with ALN and challenging behaviour
* Experience working in schools, specialist provisions, or similar settings
* A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A proactive, resilient, and confident attitude
* A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
