Dudley Childrens Services are seeking a Qualified Social Work manager to join our Integrated Front Door (IFD) and Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of safeguarding children and ensuring their welfare, working collaboratively with a range of professionals to provide high-quality support and intervention. We are looking for a passionate, experienced and confident Team Manager who has a good understanding and experience of the role of a MASH team and can inspire good and outstanding practice, to improve outcomes for children and families. You will be one of 3 managers in the service managing a team of Business support officers, Front door advisors and social workers, responsible for rapid triaging, screening, and assessment of safeguarding concerns for children. The successful candidate will manage referrals and decision making within the team to progress contacts within statutory timescales, working with professionals from social care, police, and health to ensure fast, safe interventions and decisions. Working alongside the Service manager and Service lead, you will drive innovation and best practice, supporting Dudley on its journey to delivering consistently good services for children and families. The successful candidate will have experience within a MASH/ IFD service previously, ideally as a manager. The candidate will have Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and families and will have excellent assessment and analytical skills, with a sound understanding of relevant legislation and policy. The candidate will hold a recognised social work qualification (e.g., Degree in Social Work, DipSW, or equivalent) and will be registered with Social Work England and will be eligible to work in the UK.
