We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher, ideally with a Design Technology (DT) background, to join our dynamic secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position that requires a passionate educator ready to start immediately.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
2. Experience teaching Food Technology or related subjects in a secondary school setting.
3. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
4. Strong organisational and communication skills.
5. Ability to engage and motivate students with diverse learning needs and backgrounds.
6. Commitment to continuous professional development and educational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
7. Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Food Technology to students across various year groups.
8. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum.
9. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
10. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
11. Maintain a safe and organised classroom, ensuring all equipment is used appropriately and hygienically.
12. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience for students.
