We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead to join our Primary Care team at HMP Stafford, a category C Prison located in Staffordshire. HMP Stafford has a capacity of 741 males.
The Clinical Lead will oversee Primary Care services and an 8-bed Specialist Care Unit providing palliative and reablement support, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care. The role would suit someone with prison healthcare experience, alongside a background in district or community care and palliative care. This role also includes direct line management of 7 staff members.

Hours & Salary
Monday - Friday
8am - 4pm
Please keep in mind as a night nurse there will be a requirement to do a day shift on rotation for ongoing professional development and support.
This position is part‑time; you’ll receive an annual salary between £51,643 – £58,012 per annum depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clinical leadership and management to the registered nurses and care teams.
* Deputise on behalf of the Deputy/Head of Healthcare when required.
* Work closely with partners to maintain a robust, high‑quality clinical service for patients. Ensure that own clinical practice is consistent with autonomous practice within the role.
* Model a culture of compassion, care, courage, commitment, communication and competence.
* Coach, line‑manage and develop clinician staff; support and contribute in undertaking audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/non‑clinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
* Chair and facilitate specific healthcare meetings with the team and different partners, provide clinical supervision (training available) and carry out investigations locally and for the wider region.

Qualifications & Experience
* Adult NMC Registration.
* Existing line management experience and student nurse mentorship.
* Significant post registration experience and achievement in clinical primary care practice.
* Experience in leadership and managing teams within regulated environments such as CQC.
* Ability to build and maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
* Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
