We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team on a current project in the centre of Newcastle. This is a career-enhancing opportunity to work with a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a full build contract.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Commercial management across all project stages, ensuring cost control and value optimisation.
2. Manage a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations, and management of subcontract works packages through to final account.
3. Provide accurate forecasting, reporting, and risk management.
4. Be proactive in minimising risk and cost while maximising value through cost checking and analysis of labour, plant, and materials.
5. Collaborate closely with project teams to deliver on time and within budget.
Your profile
6. Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with Tier 1/large-scale projects.
7. Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
8. Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
9. Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
10. Be a recognised Quantity Surveyor with strong commercial awareness with a focus on profit and cash
11. Have experience managing a range of commercial aspects including procurement, tendering, contract administration, variations and management of subcontract works packages through to final account.
12. Be keen to minimise risk, cost and maximise value by cost checking and analysis of labour, plant and materials.
