Job Summary
Responsible for providing all aspects of clinical photography for diagnosis, case records, education, research and publication.
Providing a general photographic support service for patient information, research, publication, education and public relations.
Assisting in the development of the clinical photographic service internally and with external commissioning providers.
Supporting the design and setting of standards for clinical and non‑clinical photography across University Hospitals Sussex, with continuing responsibility for delivery of high quality photographic work to clients' specifications and deadlines, ensuring client satisfaction.
Main Duties of the Job
The CMC has a need for a replacement qualified/trainee clinical photographer as a team member will be taking maternity leave allowance plus any accrued annual leave.
The CMC needs maternity cover to maintain current clinical commitments across the Trust.

Job Responsibilities
Note: This role does not meet the minimum criteria for visa sponsorship under the current UK immigration rules, which set specific salary and skill thresholds. * Adheres to unit protocols and policies
* Is aware of GDPR and Caldicott requirements, with particular awareness of the sensitivity of the images produced, and works within Trust guidelines and policies with regard to patient consent and confidentiality to clinical photography
* Assesses Gillick competency of minors and judges the understanding of consent authorisation by the patient prior to undertaking photography
* Provides advice and guidance in interpreting legislation and policy guidelines to Trust staff when required regarding consent, confidentiality and photography
* Ensures correct archiving and labelling of digital images on the central server, controlling access to the information in line with GDPR
* Manages quality control and performance review in conjunction with the Head of CMC
* Troubleshoots day‑to‑day on‑site issues with staff and service users
* Responsible for on‑site colour management of monitors and peripheral devices to ensure accuracy of clinical records
* Safely uses, maintains and stores valuable digital camera and video equipment
* Responsible for on‑site stock control of photography and other materials as agreed with the team manager
* Acts as a role model and advisor to less experienced staff
* Supports senior staff to create a suitable, supportive and safe team environment
* Supervises placement students within the photographic section of the department as appropriate
* Ensures daily team wellbeing is assessed and supported and that weekly huddles take place
* Participates in team meetings in the absence of the Head of CMC

Essential Qualifications
* Clinical photography Post‑Graduate Certificate
* Evidence of having undertaken Clinical Photography Qualification
Desirable
* Registered with AHCS
* Experience working as a Qualified Clinical Photographer
