Vacancy: Internal Sales Manager
Location: Peel Park Campus, East Kilbride
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
CCL Design is a leading global supplier of product and identification solutions. At CCL Design we manufacture and design branding components, security products, informational and intelligent labelling products for high growth sectors of the global electronics market.
We now have a vacancy for an Internal Sales Manager reporting directly to the Plant Manager.
The Internal Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the internal sales team to maximise customer satisfaction, strengthen sales performance, and support overall business growth. This role manages day‑to‑day sales operations, drives continuous improvement of customer service standards, and ensures effective communication between internal teams, external sales, and key stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management
* Lead, motivate, and develop the internal sales team to deliver world class customer service
* Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and coaching sessions.
* Oversee team workload planning, task allocation, and resource management.
* Foster a high‑performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sales Operations & Performance
* Manage the internal sales process from enquiry to order, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
* Analyse sales data, identify trends, and contribute to sales forecasts and planning.
* Monitor customer pricing, quotations & margin reviews
* Support external sales to enable business growth
Customer Relationship Management
* Act as a senior escalation point for complex customer issues or complaints.
* Ensure timely, professional responses to customer enquiries.
* Build strong, long-term relationships with key customers and partners.
* Drive improvements in customer satisfaction and retention.
Process Improvement & Coordination
* Review and enhance internal sales processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
* Collaborate with Production, Planning, Logistics, and Finance to ensure seamless order flow.
* Maintain and improve CRM/database accuracy and reporting standards.
* Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives to optimise the customer experience.
Skills, experience & attributes required:
Essential
* Proven experience in internal sales, customer service, or commercial roles.
* Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
* Strong analytical skills and confidence in using sales data/CRM systems.
* High level of organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
* Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors.
* Knowledge of ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., IFS, SAP, Salesforce).
* Commercial acumen with the ability to understand pricing and margin impacts.
