Your Role as Nursery Chef
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Nursery Chef to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will:
* Prepare, cook, and present age-appropriate meals to the highest standards.
* Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
* Collaborate closely with the nursery team and parents to enhance the overall care and educational experience for the children.
* Maintain accurate records of supplies and manage orders while adhering to the nursery’s budget.
* Work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, all year round.

Your Responsibilities
As our Nursery Chef, you will:
* Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to hygiene standards.
* Prepare and cook age-appropriate meals with minimal waste.
* Ensure all dietary requirements are met and communicated effectively.
* Work collaboratively with the nursery team and parents to promote healthy eating.
* Manage food orders within budgetary constraints.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* Sound knowledge of managing dietary requirements and food allergies (essential).
* Understanding of COSHH regulations (essential).
* Experience working within a catering budget (essential).
* Relevant cooking experience in domestic or commercial settings (essential).
* Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
* A passion for cooking for young children (desirable).
